A place you feel before you understand

Bremer Bay feels wonderfully far removed from everyday life. This is off-the-beaten-track Western Australia - wild coastlines, shifting shades of turquoise and blue, star filled nights, and landscapes that still feel raw and uncrowded.

You arrive and something shifts. Time loosens its grip. The horizon feels wider. The air carries salt and stories. You begin to move at the pace of the ocean - not rushing, not filling every moment, but staying long enough to let the place work its way in.

This is the kind of place you don’t just visit. You have to stay long enough to feel it.

Orca & Wild Coastlines Discovery

Immerse yourself in the wild beauty of Western Australia on this unexpected ocean adventure retreat.

We journey offshore to the edge of the Bremer Bay Canyon, where nutrient-rich Southern Ocean waters attract orcas and a rich diversity of marine life. With expert naturalists onboard, each encounter deepens understanding as well as awe.

This is more than a wildlife tour. It’s about being present - watching, learning, and allowing the power and grace of these animals and this place to be felt, not just seen.

The journey to the south-west

The drive to Bremer Bay is part of the experience - unhurried, calming and quietly beautiful. Working farmland and twisted gum trees unfold, with the Stirling Ranges slowly rising on the horizon. It’s the kind of road trip local's treasure, where the scenery softens the mind and the smile begins before you arrive.

Life by the water

Bremer Bay’s calm coves and clear waters invite snorkelling, swimming and gentle exploration. Seagrass meadows just offshore are vital breeding grounds for leafy and weedy seadragons - we hope to spot them!

Morning swims, afternoon and evening dips shape the rhythm of each day. Optional shore diving and an outdoor home cinema add layers of adventure for those who want it.

ABOUT THE TRIP

Nature, land & wide open space

Nearby, Fitzgerald River National Park adds a powerful contrast of land and scale. This globally recognised biosphere is rich in endemic plants, wildflowers and sweeping coastal views.

We explore lookouts, wander Point Ann, and climb West Mount Barren for elevated views across untouched country – where land, sea and sky meet in every direction.

Nothing feels rushed. Adventure is woven through the days, balanced with time for relax, read, rest or time spent with your new friends.

Food, coffee & local life

Food matters to us. We value a balanced diet, we like to eat, and we like to eat well. Shared meals, good coffee and relaxed local venues are part of the experience.

• The Telegraph Café – delicious, generous meals enjoyed with water views in a relaxed indoor-outdoor setting. (See photo gallery)

• Bremer Bay Resort – coffee or a drink perched above the bay, with sweeping ocean views.

• Wellstead Museum Café – visit the Wellstead museum rich in history with kangaroos aplenty.

• Bremer Bay Brewing Company – an easygoing stop to enjoy a local craft beer.

Meals are thoughtfully balanced between eating out, catering, tasty, shared meals at home, Aussie BBQ, picnics, one evening of locally caught fish sourced directly from the local fish factory and one lunch of local fish and chips Aussie style – fresh and very much part of coastal life here.

This balance allows for appreciation, not excess – supporting active days and calm evenings.
